Opening the seminars was Albany's Sales & Marketing Director, Georgia Leybourne, who provided a brief insight into who Albany is, what we do and why it's important.
Chief Consultants (Nigel White and Mike Bowman) of the Payments Council then took to the stand, informing delegates of their responsibilities and then went on to talk about the demise of cheques, based on intriguing information captured by their recent consumer & SME research survey. Nigel and Mike took the opportunity to reveal exciting new developments, including mobile payments where, potentially, you can make all your payments from your mobile phone.
Michael Chambers, the Managing Director of Bacs, followed on from the Payments Council, discussing how delegates can make the most of the Bacs service. Michael provided delegates with details on the new and improved Bacs services and also reminded delegates of the available payment methods they have available to them to send and receive funds.
After the well-deserved coffee break, Robin Tidd provided an insightful overview into intelligent processing and the clever use of information. Robin is a Management Consultant and member in practice of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). He looked at a couple of fundamental controls in process management and illustrated how quality and timing of information is absolutely essential to maintaining control at all levels of management.
Georgia summarised core messages of the presentations and went on to discuss how Albany fits into the grand scheme of intelligent payments processing. She provided delegates with a quick overview of our brand new solution, Albany ePAY, going over the features of the product and what it can offer.
90% of Microsoft delegates scored the overall seminar experience as either 'Very Good' or 'Excellent' in all respects.
