An outstanding 96% of attendees rated this enjoyable and informative forum as either Very Good or Excellent.
The forum included expert speakers from Bacs, Travelex, Eagle Consulting and Albany Software and the aim was to provide delegates with advice and guidance concerning Bureaux and unique networking opportunities, whilst gaining an informative update on Bacs, Direct Debits, Faster Payments and International payroll & business payments.
Mike Chambers, MD of Bacs and interim MD of CHAPS, opened the forum by discussing the future for bureaux - Bacs and faster payments and gave an overview of the Payments Industry. Mike outlined the key scheme activities for 2010, which included Faster Payments and what bureau companies should be doing next.
After the well-deserved coffee break David Sear, Managing Director at Travelex Global Business Payments Ltd gave an insightful overview about International Payments. David also spoke of the new partnership between Albany and Travelex before introducing GlobalPay; the new simple and efficient way of streamlining international payments, which reduces costs and helps to eliminate payment errors for businesses. Harry Hornby, Managing Director at Eagle Consulting then gave a real life review of how a well thought out faster payments bureau can assist an organisation.
Georgia Leybourne, Sales & Marketing Director at Albany, was up next explaining how Albany can help a smooth and easy transition to Faster Payments once the service is here. Georgia also showed delegates a demonstration of Albany ePAYbureau which will enable UK Faster Payments and is especially designed for bureaux.
