Albany Software Ltd, based in Alton, is an established and highly successful computer software company specialising in solutions for the electronic delivery of documents, data and funds. We are currently seeking a Helpdesk Agent to work in our busy Customer Support Department, providing 1stline technical support by telephone and email, to customers and resellers across our range of software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a talent for problem solving and the ability to apply these skills in a technical environment.

A good understanding of the range of Windows Operating Systems is essential, along with a basic understanding of Networking and Internet technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with proprietary software, providing telephone and email support in a helpdesk environment. Experience with SQL/.NET would be advantageous.

Solid organisational and administrative skills are a must, as is the ability to follow procedures and processes to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department. This role requires high levels of productivity, a proactive and professional approach and to work as part of the team.

The core hours operate on an office based rotating shift pattern between 8am and 8pm; covering the 12:30 till 8pm shift approximately one week in five.

Salary package including pension, healthcare scheme, profit share bonus scheme, PHI, and DIS insurance.
