Installation Engineer
Albany Software Ltd, based in Alton, is an established and highly
successful computer software company specialising in the provision of eTransaction Solutions.
We are currently seeking an Installation Engineer to join our team. This role involves
work in the field and the office which is based in the southern area; however travel outside
of the south will be necessary to meet the needs of our customers. The primary responsibilities
of the role are for installing, testing our software products and training customers on their
use. Other general duties include support and product testing that will be allocated as and when necessary.
The ideal candidate will be customer focused, with a proven record in providing software
installation or support services. They must have an good knowledge of all Windows Operating
Systems and associated technologies, with at least one of the following additional areas of
expertise: Networking, Internet technologies or IP communications. Preference will be given
to candidates with experience in supporting or installing any of the following: Sage,
SUN Accounts, Pegasus, Access Accounts, Exchequer or similar financial solutions.
Knowledge of Citrix /Terminal Services, Smart Cards, PKI security systems, would be an
advantage as would Microsoft Certified qualifications.
The candidate will have a background in computing, with at least 1 year experience in a
similar support or software installation role and possess good problem solving and
customer service skills.
Salary package including pension, PHI and DIS insurance plus car - dependant on experience
