another successful seminar under the Albany belt

Our fourth Faster Payments and SEPA seminar on Thursday 3rd April at Kings Weston House in Bristol was a great success with 83% of delegates rating the overall event either excellent or very good.

The seminar was held at Kings Weston House, which turned out to be the perfect setting with fantastic views of their extensive grounds. It was literally minutes from the M5 allowing delegates to find the house with total ease and in good time for plenty of Danish pastries before the seminar began. The House was a truly stunning building with spectacular ceilings and painted portraits in every room. It provided the whole day with a touch of elegance and class.

Faster Payments and SEPA experts Bob Larkham and Andy Fielding represented Albany sharing their wealth of understanding and knowledge on the subject. Mike Hutchinson got the seminar in full swing by presenting a full overview of UK Faster Payments Services, including a detailed comparison of Faster Payments against the current Bacs Service. Bob Larkham continued the presentation by outlining the key objectives and features of Faster Payments initiative.

Bob Larkham, an industry-known expert on SEPA (Single European Payments Area) outlined how companies should prepare for the SEPA initiative, especially in terms of account validation and the new legislation regarding the validation of BIC and IBAN data. Harcus Copper from Barclays Bank continued to discuss the technical requirements of SEPA, the ease of implementation, the expected associated costs and the key release dates.

The feedback from all of the attending delegates was very impressive, with 83% of the delegates rating the day as either excellent or very good and over 90% rating the venue as either excellent or very good.
