Eagle Consulting implements direct debit management software
for high volume funds transactions
Eagle Consulting, an Inverness-based accountancy services provider,
has invested in, eCOLLECT,
a complete Direct Debit management solution from e-transaction
author, Albany Software. The eCOLLECT
software enables organisations to automate the process of creating,
submitting and amending Direct Debits. Fully AUDDIS compliant
it makes Paperless DD a reality. By coupling eCOLLECT
with ALBACSbureau
enterprise, the leading solution for managing high
volume funds transactions on behalf of clients, Eagle has expanded
its customer base to include one of the UK's largest utility
companies, currently processing over 1 million Direct Debit
transactions per month.
Established in 1993, Eagle Consulting currently employs 35
members of staff across its two sites in Inverness and Manchester.
The company provides practical accounting and consultancy services
for organisations wishing to outsource the accounts function,
embracing an increasing variety of services from payroll and
Bacs bureaux to Direct Debit (DD) payments, management accounting
and VAT and tax management.
Initially, the majority of Eagle Consulting's customers comprised
of small and medium sized businesses ranging from golf clubs
and hotel groups to a variety of PLCs. However, with the recent
programme of expansion and the purchase of eCOLLECT,
Eagle is now able to target organisations processing millions
of transactions monthly and its customer base already includes
some larger insurance and utility companies.
Harry Hornby, Director of Eagle Consulting comments, "We have
been a customer of Albany's for eight years and have a fantastic
relationship with them. We believe that with the combination
of our service skills and Albany's software expertise we are
able to offer a robust and cost effective service that other
software providers or bureaux are not able to deliver."
As well as providing an integrated solution between Bacs and
Eagle Consulting customers' financial solutions, the investment
in software from Albany has facilitated the implementation of
a Hardware Security Module (HSM) which automates security processes
without the use of smart cards or smart card readers, giving
customers more confidence in the security of their transactions.
Hornby concludes, "Working with Albany Software, we now have
a powerful offering available that can facilitate the UK's largest
organisations and should be extremely attractive to them. I
wouldn't dream of working with another provider, we are confident
in Albany's capability and as our company expands it's a relief
to be able to rely on a consistently high standard of support."
