(Alton-based) e-transactions software author, Albany Software,

having been included in this year's Sunday Times Microsoft Tech
Track 100 league table.
Founded and owned by Adrian Stafford-Jones, Albany develops
software for e-transactions including payments, document distribution
and account validation, and has many accredited partnerships
including Voca and Microsoft. Boasting over 12,000 customers,

Across the e-transactions marketplace industry-wide changes
required all businesses using Bacs for electronic payments to
update their systems and migrate to the new BacsTEL-IP delivery
infrastructure by January 2006. Albany was at the forefront
of this market development, which helped to boost the company's
sales by 59% a year from £3million in 2003 to £7.6million in
2005.
Albany worked closely with Voca and all of the leading UK banks
in order to ensure its customers were able to make a smooth
transition to the new BacsTEL-IP infrastructure, which leverages
Internet technology to deliver improved security, reliability
and speed of financial payments.
Adrian Stafford-Jones, Managing Director of Albany Software,
comments, "We are delighted to have been listed in the Sunday
Times Tech Track league table. Albany is known in the industry
for its market-leading EFT and e-document distribution software
applications, and for providing an excellent level of service
to customers. Our Tech Track listing is testament to the dedication,
professionalism and enthusiasm of our staff, combined with the
proven quality of our software products."
Stafford-Jones continues, "I am very proud that we are now
one of the fastest growing technology companies in Britain and
I would like to personally thank all of the team at Albany that
makes the company so successful."
