Albany Software, a market leading developer of electronic funds transfer and document delivery solutions, has been recognised as an Investor in People.
The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation's performance through its people. Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organisations, the Standard provides a flexible framework, which helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of staff. Since it was developed, the Standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant and accessible.
Albany Software's achievement of the standard demonstrates the organisation's ongoing commitment to helping staff reach their maximum possible potential. Following the review, Albany was awarded accreditation in all of the measurable areas. These include: Business Strategy, Learning and Development, Leadership and Management, Management Effectiveness, Involvement and Empowerment, Performance and Measurement, Recognition and Reward and Continuous Improvement.
Athena Davies, HR and Operations Manager at Albany, comments, "Our people are crucial to the success of our business. It is their expertise, knowledge and dedication that helps differentiate us from our competitors. Working towards the accreditation has helped us to recognise staff motivation, skill levels, flexibility, manager's communication and performance management and coaching skills." Davies continues, "The Investors in People standard will help us to provide a basis for continuing improvement in all key areas of the business and demonstrate Albany's loyalty to our employees."
