Faster Payments

The UK Faster Payments Service is an initiative that will enable an electronic payment to be achieved within the same day. The UK banks, Voca and Bacs are working to make the normal 3 day cycle shrink to just 2 hours. This means that as long as you submit your payments before 2pm, they will be processed and received on the same day.

SEPA

SEPA (The Single Euro Payments Area) is an initiative that will allow European cross-border payments to be simple and cost effective. The European Commission and European Payments Council are working together to create a simple service that will allow cross-border payments to be processed at a similar cost to domestic transfers.
