The introduction of the Euro has been a major concern in the field of computer software, particularly in relation to accounting packages and associated products. Now that the Euro has been introduced across much of Europe, businesses are realising the full impact and knock-on effects of integrating the new currency into their existing systems and infrastructures.

Fortunately for Albany software users, none of our products are directly affected by the core issues raised by the introduction of the Euro, since they do not incorporate any conversion from one currency to another. The previous changes to the Bacs® information format have been promptly integrated into ALBACS, our Bacs submission software. ALBACS, which handles currency information is now at version 3.00h and has been fully Euro capable since version 2.22.
